Founded in Berlin in 2012, Banded began as an experiment with a familiar object: the classic stainless-steel expandable watchband. Once considered utilitarian, even nostalgic, this everyday item became the foundation for something entirely new. Through a unique, sustainably developed process, we reimagined it as bracelet jewelry and smartwatch bands — modern pieces with a strong sense of history.
Handmade in Berlin, One by One
Every Banded is handcrafted with care. We don’t mass-produce, and we don’t rush the process. Each piece is made to order, finished by hand, and carefully inspected before it leaves our atelier. That means every bracelet carries subtle variations — small details that make it unmistakably human.
Our process is designed to last. Bandeds are waterproof, scratch-resistant, UV-stable, and nickel-free, making them suitable for everyday wear — from city life to travel, workdays to weekends.
Sustainability Without Compromise
Sustainability isn’t a buzzword for us; it’s part of how we work. Our production method uses zero VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and avoids harmful chemicals wherever possible. We developed this eco-friendly technique ourselves, refining it over years of hands-on experimentation.
